Free 30-Day Returns & Exchanges


We want you to be completely in love with your jewelry. If a piece isn't right, return or exchange it within 30 days of delivery — free, insured, and with no restocking fees.

How It Works

  1. Start Your Return

    Email care@avaleediamonds.com or use our contact page with your order number within 30 days of delivery. We'll issue a Return Authorization and a prepaid, insured shipping label.

  2. Pack It Securely

    Include all original packaging, the diamond certificate (if your piece came with one), and any included appraisals or documentation. Place the jewelry box inside the plain outer shipping box — for security, never write "jewelry" or "diamonds" anywhere on the package.

  3. Ship It Back

    Drop the package off with the carrier listed on your prepaid label and keep your drop-off receipt. Your return is insured by us from the moment the carrier scans it.

  4. Receive Your Refund or Exchange

    Our quality team inspects returns within 3 business days of arrival. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Exchanges ship as soon as your new piece is ready.

Return Conditions

To qualify for a refund or exchange, items must be:

  • Returned within 30 days of delivery
  • In their original, unworn condition — no scratches, resizing, or alterations
  • Accompanied by all original packaging and documentation, including the lab grading certificate for certified diamonds
About diamond certificates: certified loose diamonds and certified center stones must be returned with their original lab report (IGI, GIA, or GCAL). A replacement-certificate fee of $250 will be deducted from your refund if the certificate is missing.

Items That Can't Be Returned

  • Custom and engraved pieces — items personalized to you, including engraved jewelry and fully custom designs, are final sale. (Ring Builder rings in standard configurations remain returnable.)
  • Resized or altered items — jewelry that has been resized, engraved, or modified after delivery.
  • Worn or damaged items — pieces showing signs of wear that prevent resale.
  • Gift cards and final-sale items marked as such at purchase.

Exchanges

Prefer a different size, metal, or style? Follow the same steps above and let us know what you'd like instead. If the new piece costs more, we'll send a secure payment link for the difference; if it costs less, we'll refund the difference to your original payment method. Each order is eligible for one free exchange.

If it's just the ring size that's off, you may not need a return at all — every ring includes one free resizing within 60 days under our Lifetime Warranty.

Gift Returns

Received an Avalee piece as a gift? We're happy to help. Gift returns qualify for an exchange or store credit of equal value — just contact us with the order number (or the giver's name and email) and we'll take care of the rest, discreetly.
